Every year the branch elects a committee to lead the branch’s work for the year ahead.

Committee members attend regular meetings with the university and represent members on various university committees as well as taking up members’ casework, representing the branch at UCU Cymru and UCU national events, and running campaigns.

Alongside officers with specific responsibilities, at the start of the year committee members indicate which areas they’ll take responsibility for over the coming year. We are also able to co-opt members onto the committee throughout the year.

You don’t have to be in the committee to get involved in our work, every member is welcome to get involved and to share ideas.

We also have an active departmental rep network and we’re always on the look out for new reps.
